Pastry Production Cook
What you will do:
As a member of the pastry team, pastry cooks will execute all tasks related to assembling, mixing, baking, and finishing pastries while adhering to Eva's Little Kitchen's vision, culture, and team values.
The ideal pastry assistant has experience working with high-volume pastry production. They will be working with laminated and enriched dough, bread production, cake assembly, cookies, pies, and breakfast pastries. Our menu evolves seasonally, so comfort with change is a must. We are willing to train passionate candidates, who are eager, curious, and excited by innovation, challenge, and an exciting menu. This position reports directly to our Executive Pastry Chef.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes.
- Assist in the production of a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Follow established recipes and guidelines for consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with other staff and managers
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
- Adhere to sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- Possess basic math skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Work quickly and efficiently, ability to multitask is a must
- Work with a sense of urgency
- Attention to detail
- A flexible schedule during holidays
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
